VILLA RENOVATION
The brief was to create a contemporary interior whilst remaining sympathetic to the original homes era. The scope of the design project included all finishes, fixtures, fittings & hardware for 5 bedrooms - in which the homeowners wanted a clever use of colour & texture. It also included the design & finish of 3 new bathrooms, a new kitchen, dining space, study & 2 x living spaces. I was also responsible for the procurement of furniture, window treatments, paint colours, wallpaper choices & artwork.

RENOVATION
To prepare a Herne Bay town house for sale. This home had been tenanted for many years and the interior was dated and dark. To achieve a fresh and contemporary look that would appeal to a wide range of buyers I chose a clean palette of soft greys. The entire interior was painted throughout to freshen up the spaces, new carpet was laid, new window treatments were installed and the yellowed timber floorboards were brought back to life with a white wash. An inbuilt wardrobe was removed in the guest bedroom to create a useful study nook and the entire house was styled for the impeding sale..

KITCHEN RENOVATION
The original kitchen as a small enclosed space with dated beige cabinetry below the bench and frosted glass and aluminium cabinets on the walls. Keeping to a tight budget the above bench cabinets were removed and replaced with open shelving. The below bench cabinet doors were removed and spray painted off site in Resene 'Noctural'. A fresh coat of paint to walls and ceiling were applied and new tiles were installed. A wall was demolished at one end of the kitchen to create a breakfast bar and to allow natural light to infuse the space.
